The M-22 ResurFX™ laser from Lumenis® is a non-ablative fractional laser that includes advanced technology with over 600 options for the size, shape, and density of the laser energy. Pulses of laser energy heat the skin with thousands of micro-beams that create micro-channels in the skin and stimulate the body’s natural healing process. The healing process involves the production of collagen and elastin to create a new layer of healthy skin with a firm, elastic texture.
The ResurFX™ laser can also be combined with an IPL Photofacial to treat multiple skin conditions in one treatment – we like to call this a Photofractional Treatment. Both technologies target hyperpigmentation, sun damage, rosacea, and age spots. The ResurFX™ laser has the additional ability to smooth acne scars and treat vascular lesions or spider veins.
The M-22 ResurFX™ laser is equipped with cooling technology called CoolScan™ that protects the surrounding skin from damage and keeps you comfortable during treatment. This is considered a “lunchtime facial” because the treatment is so quick!
After a Photofractional treatment, there is minimal downtime and recovery. Your skin may be slightly red and swollen but this will quickly resolve to reveal brighter, healthier skin with an added glow. Some immediate results can be seen but they will develop over time as collagen and elastin regenerates and resurfaces the skin.
